Roane County Emergency Response Training Facility

The Emergency Response Training Facility (ERTF) is a state of the art First Responders Training Facility located on a 24-acre parcel and integral part of the Oak Ridge Enhancement Training Center Campus (ORETC). Designed in partnership with Haines Structural Group and Design Innovations Architects, the 40,000 sf, two-story structure includes many multi-media classrooms, labs, offices, and flexible multi-purpose spaces. The facility also includes a high bay space to accommodate augmented reality, virtual reality, and training equipment to simulate extremely dangerous emergency response scenarios. The design-build structure is composed of steel framed composite floors, open web joist roof framing, masonry high bay walls, steel moment frames, and braced frames.
